Hooge Nesse Zwijndrecht
De Hooge Nesse is een aantrekkelijk natuurgebied voor jong en oud met een prachtige ligging aan de Oude Maas. Er liggen beachvolleybalvelden waar verschillende sporten beoefend kunnen worden. Ook is er een bootcamproute met uitdagende obstakels en een officieel wedstrijdparcours voor discgolf (18 holes).
Voor kinderen is er een leuk speelbos waar hutten gebouwd kunnen worden, waar je verstoppertje kunt spelen, klimmen, klauteren en spelen in de natuur. Voor volwassenen is er een gezellige beweegtuin waar gebruik gemaakt kan worden van de outdoor fitness toestellen. Door onze Vivera sportcoach collega worden er ook wekelijkse beweegactiviteiten voor ‘ouderen’ georganiseerd.
In de Hooge organiseren we ook leuke evenementen zoals de Paascross, Obstaclerun en de Kerstrun. Ook is er de mogelijkheid om sportdagen te organiseren.

Misschien herken je het volgende: een kind dat, weer of geen weer, in het park op zijn rug naar de lucht ligt te staren, een paar vriendjes die door het bos struinen op zoek naar kastanjes of takken, kinderen die ieder stukje gras gebruiken om te voetballen, anderen klimmen op of in elke (omgevallen) boom alsof het een klimrek is. Ieder kind vindt zijn eigen weg in de natuur.
Niet voor alle kinderen in Zwijndrecht is het echter vanzelfsprekend dat ze in het bos, bij de rivier of in het park komen. Daarom doen wij mee aan het provinciale project Groen doet Goed. Samen met allerlei partners uit de gemeente, van welzijnsorganisaties tot aanbieders van natuuractiviteiten, zoeken we naar mogelijkheden om zoveel mogelijk kinderen in Zwijndrecht de kans te geven het bewegen en het beleven in de natuur te ontdekken.
